Over 20 designers joined us on Wednesday for the launch of our stunning new Marvel Terrazzo range, presented by Mauro from Atlas Concorde he highlighted the Italian flair for design and the commitment to quality typical of the Italian tile producers.

Marvel Terrazzo is inspired by the look of Venetian Terrazzo, the 15th Century techinque of embedding marble chips in concrete and polishing it, which is still used today. In situations where pouring concrete is impractical or expensive the Marvel Terrazzo porcelain tile is fantastic alternative. Hard wearing and thoughtfully designed it will look as beautiful as the real thing and stand the test of time, it would take 200 years to wear down just the top millimeter of the tile, which is rated for light to medium commercial use. But because it's made from natural clay, it's enviromentally friendly and healthy for families.

Designers enjoyed a glass of Prossecco and an Italian nibbles, while hearing all about the latest style and technology from Atlas Concorde representative Mauro Soli. Mauro pointed out the exceptional dedication to quality from supplier Atlas Concorde, who have devloped hard wearing layering techniques to give depth and luminosity to the tile and fantastic colour balance, achieving wonderful true blacks without red or blue tones that are present in many other almost black tiles. The Terrazzo black is a beautiful example of this.
